A couple wonderful moments with my kids I want to remember . . .
We were driving in the car and were doing solfege echos . . . one of the joys of the car ride for me – and I think for the kids. I had sung, “Do, Do, Do” and Allison was being silly and deliberately sang the wrong last note, “Do,Do, Re” Carter adamantly corrected her saying, “Not Do, Do, Re . . . Do, Do, Do!” The exuberance with which he sang, Do, Do, Do – in correcting Allison was just so funny.
Tonight our scripture study was about prayer. I used the January 2005 Friend – there was a little prayer activity. We were discussing the different types of prayers, who says the different types of prayers, and what we might say in each prayer. We were taking turns pointing to different pictures and discussing them. Allison chose the picture of Blessing the Sick. I asked her who gives such a prayer. She said, ‘Prophets’. I said yes – that’s right! Who else gives such a prayer? She said, “Dads that wear prophet clothes.” That made me laugh out right!

So cute. You are smart to write all of these things down. I am trying to be better about it. They say the funniest things. You think you'll never forget and then you do. AHHH! Hope you guys are on the mend and doing well.
